Sarah Thurber, 2017 Alumni Achievement Award Winner

Sarah Thurber, M.S., is Managing Partner at FourSight, llc, a global innovation company that develops research-based tools, assessments and training designs to enhance innovation, collaboration and team performance. Working in partnership with academic researchers and creativity practitioners, Sarah has spearheaded the growth of the FourSight Thinking Profile, which has been featured in the New York Times, Forbes and Fast Company, and is used by top companies and universities, including Nike, IBM, BBC, HP, Disney, Pfizer, Harvard and MIT. Sarah is coauthor of Creativity Unbound, An Introduction to Creative Process (5th ed.), as well as Facilitation, A Door to Creative Leadership (4th ed.). Based on the FourSight theory of Gerard Puccio and Blair Miller, Sarah worked with Dorte Nielsen to develop the visual model for creative process, which has been adapted by the International Center for Studies in Creativity, the Center for Creative Leadership and the Creative Education Foundation. Her most recent book, The Secret of the Highly Creative Thinker, came out in 2016 and is already being translated into Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian and Japanese. She has a master of science in Creativity and Change Leadership from the International Center for Studies in Creativity, part of the SUNY system. She lives in Evanston, Illinois with her husband Blair Miller, also an ICSC grad, and their three creative children.
