The graduate-level certificate program provides professionals from all sectors with the skills and knowledge to become creative leaders. This certificate is available both on campus and for distance learners.
This 18-credit-hour program consists of six courses that provide a solid foundation in facilitation, problem solving, and leadership. The program focuses on applications of creativity as they relate to an individual’s professional context; contains three introductory-level courses (500 level); and three additional advanced courses (600 level) taken under advisement.
Professionals who successfully complete the graduate certificate program may go on to earn the full master of science degree (33 credit hours), as all courses in the certificate program can be applied toward the master's degree.
Application deadlines are as follows: Distance - February 15; Fall Semester - May 1; Spring Semester - October 1; Summer Session - March 1.
A student participating in the distance program spends only two-weeks during the summer in Buffalo, New York, while taking online classes throughout the year. Distance students are in cohorts working toward a graduate certificate, when completed they may choose to continue on to receive the master's degree.
